I hope this can teach women in those countries to stand up for themselves. The video says that Oprah hits their taboos, but she is loved even more and is opening dialogs. I just can’t see empowered women letting their preteen daughters be married away or rapes to be blamed on the woman. Sure the topics are American things, but I’m also sure that the resonance of respect for women can spread.
